This is one-day luxury tour in Tokyo.
There are many many places you should visit in Tokyo, and on this day trip you can see the best of the city. You can visit some of the city’s top shrines and luxury shopping areas before taking a cruise on Tokyo Bay.
We will pick you up at your hotel in the morning and take you first to the shrines. Depending on the number of participants, it might be a group tour; it might be a private/family tour. If you prefer a private one, you may need to pay an additional cost.
First, we take you to the Meiji Shrine (Meiji Jingu). Meiji Jingu is a Shinto shrine. Shinto is called Japan’s ancient original religion, and it is deeply rooted in the way of Japanese life and the shrine was dedicated to the Imperial Family in 1926. Walk along the gardens that surround the shrine as you learn more details about its importance from your guide.
Next, head back to your bus, driving past the Japanese House of Parliament as you continue on to the Imperial Palace East Garden. The current Imperial Palace is located on the former site of Edo Castle, a large park area surrounded by moats and massive stone walls in the center of Tokyo, a short walk from Tokyo Station. It is the residence of the Japanese Imperial Family. The palace houses a traditional Japanese garden, tea pavilion, stone walls, and a moat, all situated within the complex of an Edo period castle.
When you get hungry, we’ll take you to the Nakamise Shopping Street. In fact, Nakamise is one of the oldest shopping centers in Japan and is a brightly-colored thoroughfare of food vendors and souvenir shops that leads to Asakusa Temple, one of Japan’s most important Buddhist sites. Asakusa can easily be explored on foot.
Leave Asakusa Temple, heading by bus for the Ginza district, a conglomerate of shopping stores. From there, enjoy lunch overlooking Hamarikyu Garden, a seaside garden from the Edo period. If you like to enjoy premium and high-class dining around Asakusa, there are several restaurants as follows:
1. Imahan Bekkan. Actually, they have a special course for foreigners such as 8,000 JPY and a 10,000 JPY course including Omi beef sukiyaki, tempura, shabu-shabu, and dessert. They also have vegetarian courses.
2. Kinsen. This is a tempura restaurant serving courses from 7000 JPY.
When you are done with your lunch, you’ll take a boat ride on Tokyo Bay. From the boat’s vantage point, you’ll have excellent views of the Tokyo skyline, along with Rainbow Bridge. Finish your cruise and spend some time checking out the shopping at the waterfront Aqua City Odaiba complex. You’re likely to see Tokyo Big Sight and the TC Building while you enjoy shopping. At the conclusion of your tour at Tokyo station, go back to your hotel.
